About Us

Cedar Flowers Cavan

A floral and gardening journey.

Having gained a diploma in horticulture, and after a number of years of valuable experience, I opened my shop in Cavan town in 2003. By 2008, the growth of the business necessitated a move to a new purpose built premises at 19 College Street, Cavan. The name for my flower shop came from the Blue Cedar tree which stood tall outside our family home in Ballyhaise, Co Cavan.

I am genuinely interested in our customers and our industry. Our aim is to reduce our carbon footprint by working with the best products sourced as locally as possible. We also source flowers and foliage from growers in Ireland and from Dutch growers. To create floral gifts which are beautiful and uplifting is a privilege. We are always working to improve our sustainability – recycling our clippings into compost and growing as much foliage and flowers as time and the seasons allow.

When a person gives a gift as sensory and thoughtful as flowers, they are rewarded with the pleasure of giving and the natural good vibrations which come from the flowers themselves.
